Ashurst LLP is pleased to announce its role as legal counsel to the banking syndicate in the €475 million financing of the development of several data centers in the Frankfurt area by Mainova WebHouse GmbH. The financing is a crucial step in strengthening the digital infrastructure of one of Europe’s most important economic regions.
The members of the banking syndicate include ING Bank, Investec Bank Plc, KfW, KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH, Kommunalkredit Austria AG, Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, Norddeutsche Landesbank – Girozentrale and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (publ) Frankfurt Branch.
The financing agreement, which has been carefully prepared since late 2023, involved extensive negotiations with a wide range of potential lenders. The banking syndicate, led by KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH as agent and security agent, has successfully secured the necessary funds to advance Mainova WebHouse GmbH’s ambitious data center projects.
