Assistant Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Senator Carol Brown, today visited the Indonesian ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Search and Rescue Agency (BASARNAS) in Nusa Dua, Indonesia.
Since 2007, the Australian Government has partnered with the Indonesian Government to provide capacity-building to the Indonesian transport sector. This partnership is formalised through the Indonesian Transport Safety Assistance Package (ITSAP).
Under ITSAP, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) provides capacity-building to BASARNAS officers including through officer exchanges, training courses and staff development, joint search and rescue exercises, and technical workshops.
