The Australian Academy of Technological Sciences & Engineering (ATSE) is undertaking a survey in partnership with the Department of Education to research translation and commercialisation in Australia.
The project will develop a series of future-focused reports highlighting areas of research with translation and commercialisation potential among Australian universities and businesses. These reports will inform the development and implementation of Government policies and programs relating to research translation and commercialisation in Australia.
A short survey forms a key part of the project. The survey is open now, closes Thursday 20th April 2023, and will around take 10 – 15 minutes to complete. In the survey, respondents are invited to identify up to three current and emerging areas of research that display strong translation and commercialisation potential in Australian industry.
Programmes and policies that will be informed by the survey results Include:
- Australia’s Economic Accelerator (AEA)
- CSIRO’s Main Sequence Ventures
- Start-up Year loan program (SY-HELP)
- Industry-focused PhDs and fellowship programs
- Trailblazers Universities Program
