Rockingham Detectives have charged a 47-year-old woman in relation to an incident in Medina on Sunday 19 April 2020, in which a 51-year-old man received life-threatening injuries.
It will be alleged the woman and the victim, who are known to each other, were at the victim’s residence in Beacham Crescent, Medina. It will be further alleged about 11:30pm a verbal altercation escalated and the woman stabbed the victim multiple times.
The injured man received serious internal injuries and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for emergency surgery.
It will be further alleged the woman left the scene in the victim’s vehicle – a Hyundai Getz. The woman was arrested about 2:00am yesterday morning, Monday 20 April 2020, and the victim’s vehicle was located abandoned a short time later on Hefron Way, Parmelia.
A 47-year-old woman from Bertram has been charged with ‘Attempted Unlawfully to Kill’. She was refused bail and is due to appear in the Rockingham Magistrates Court today, Tuesday 21 April 2020.
Detectives would like to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the vicinity of Beacham Crescent, Medina between 10:00pm and midnight on Sunday night, or who saw the victim’s Hyundai Getz parked on Hefron Way, Parmelia.
