The top 20 hottest beaches for 2022 have today been announced.
Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment Dan Tehan said today’s announcement of Australia’s top 20 will boost domestic tourism and inspire international tourists to book a holiday Down Under.
Misery Beach in Albany, Western Australia was named Australia’s top beach for 2022 by Tourism Australia’s Beach Ambassador Brad Farmer AM, who has visited most of Australia’s beaches in a career spanning more than 35 years.
“With more than 11,000 beaches to choose from, narrowing down the top 20 beaches must be one of the toughest jobs in Australia,” Mr Tehan said.
“The 2022 list covers every state and territory, with a selection of our most spectacular beaches that will inspire and excite holiday makers all over Australia and the world.
“As Australia continues its successful re-opening, we’re going to see a surge in tourists that will support jobs and businesses.
“My message to the world, is to start planning your next holiday to Australia and to include as many of our top 20 beaches on your itinerary as you can fit in.”
