Off the back of last year’s inaugural event which attracted over 100,000 attendees, the 2024 program for Western Australia’s free EverNow festival has been unveiled, headlined by a world-renowned French theatrical and pyrotechnics company.

Groupe F, whose credentials include multiple Olympic Games opening ceremonies, the FIFA World Cup and celebrations at iconic global landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, will bring an Australian-exclusive show to this year’s festival called From the Light Flow: Bena Koorliny.

Other favourites from 2023 will also feature again this year including Boorna Waanginy: The Trees Speak and Song Circle.

From the Light Flow by Groupe F and Song Circle will both run from 3-6 October at Burswood Park, while Boorna Waanginy: The Trees Speak will run at Kings Park from 4-7 October 2024.

Importantly, EverNow will take place at the same time as the World Travel and Tourism Council Global Summit in Perth, providing the hundreds of global leaders who will be in WA an opportunity to experience the event.

Developed by Perth Festival, EverNow is intended to become a highlight on the State’s major events calendar.

As stated by Tourism Minister Rita Saffioti:

“The inaugural EverNow event was a huge success last year with over 100,000 people in attendance, so we’re proud to be bringing it back again in 2024.

“It’s always great to have new elements, and we’re particularly excited about the inclusion of world-renowned French pyrotechnical company Groupe F this year, whose works have featured at multiple Olympic Games opening ceremonies, the FIFA World Cup plus other iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower.

“This year’s event is also exciting as it falls around the same time as the globe’s biggest tourism summit, meaning another incredible opportunity to showcase our beautiful city to hundreds of leaders from major global companies.”

As stated by Culture and the Arts Minister David Templeman:

“EverNow was a roaring success last year with over 100,000 people coming along to the different events on offer and similar numbers expected to attend this year.

“The free event is an excellent showcase of the incredible culture and creativity of Indigenous people and I hope the WA community will get behind EverNow again in 2024 to learn more, particularly with this new exclusive addition to the program.”

As stated by Perth MLA John Carey:

“The Cook Labor Government is driving the revitalisation of our city and is investing hundreds of millions of dollars to create jobs, economic activity and attract more people to the Perth CBD.

“This year’s free EverNow festival promises to be bigger and better than ever and is another opportunity to showcase all that Perth has to offer.

“I encourage everyone to come and see this fantastic homegrown event that will light up and captivate our city.”
