AUSVEG, Corteva continue Lead Strategic Partnership

Corteva Agriscience, the agriculture division of DowDuPont, has renewed its Leading Strategic Partnership with AUSVEG, recommitting to growers in the vegetable and potato industries to ensure the two organisations can continue to deliver benefits for Australian growers.

Corteva has also announced that it will maintain its strong support for the industry’s emerging leaders through its continued sponsorship of the Corteva Young Grower of the Year award and The Young Grower Social Event at Hort Connections 2019, to be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 24-26 June.

This Partnership is now in its second year following the creation of Corteva Agriscience during the 2017 merger of Dow and DuPont, which both maintained Strategic Partnerships with AUSVEG. It includes sponsoring the check-in kiosk at Hort Connections 2019 and helps to ensure that growers’ views are presented to some of the industry’s leading agribusinesses and that Australian vegetable growers have access to valuable information, products and events that can help them manage their businesses.

AUSVEG ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Marketing Manager Nathan McIntyre said the two companies have a productive relationship and that they continue to share the common goal of recognising emerging industry leaders and helping them develop successful and meaningful careers.

“Corteva is a valued supporter of the Australian vegetable industry and continues to be a leader in products and services that help create an agricultural ecosystem that naturally supports people, progress and the planet so that our growers can continue to feed families in Australia and around the world,” said Mr McIntyre.

“This partnership helps AUSVEG deliver advocacy and events for the Australian vegetable industry, including our policy work representing the interests of Australian growers on vital issues that are impacting on our industry’s productivity and profitability.

“Corteva also works with AUSVEG to recognise the emerging leaders of our industry through their sponsorship of the Corteva Young Grower of the Year Award at Hort Connections, which has been awarded to some of the industry’s leading growers who have successfully transitioned from being emerging leaders to bona fide industry champions.”

Corteva Agriscience Marketing Manager for Horticulture and Insecticides Nick Koch said that having constructive partnerships with grower organisations such as AUSVEG was an important way that the company can have strong connections to its grower customers.

“Corteva is pleased to extend its leading strategic partnership with AUSVEG, as we want to work with young growers to support their development into industry leaders and help them thrive in their business and their communities,” said Mr Koch.
