Campaspe Library Service is hosting a range of notable authors in October.
Campaspe Shire Mayor Rob Amos says it’s great to see authors visiting the region to discuss their upcoming novels and providing a variety of activities for residents.
Former Echuca resident and youth author, Amy Doak will be visiting Echuca Library on Sunday, 29 October at 2.30pm.
“Local, Amy Doak has pursued an esteemed career in media. These days she works as a freelance writer and has released her latest book, Eleanor Jones is not a Murderer. Join Amy as she discusses the process of writing her novel and local connections,” Cr Amos said.
Historian Richard White is visiting Echuca Library on Tuesday, 31 October at 1.30pm.
“Richard will discuss his latest release, Symbols of Australia: Imagining a Nation, looking at a range of Australia’s national symbols from formal, popular, commercial and humorous.
“He will examine the origins of these symbols and how they have evolved over centuries. From cars, to national landmarks, enjoy a thought provoking visit from Richard White.
“There are so many great events happening at Echuca Library. If you’re looking for something unique to do this October, register for attendance,” Cr Amos added.
