Minister for Local Government Shaun Leane joined Member for Yan Yean Danielle Green and Nillumbik Shire Council to formally open the new Greensborough Hockey Multi-Purpose Pavilion and the Hurstbridge Multi-use Pavilion.

The $1.77 million Hurstbridge Community Multi-Use Facility Upgrade has transformed the old pavilion into a multipurpose community space through the expansion of social rooms and addition of accessible, female-friendly change rooms and bathroom amenities, an umpires’ room and improved car park access.
This project was supported by $705,000 from the Government’s Growing Suburbs Fund and $150,000 from Sport and Recreation Victoria.
These projects were delivered by the Nillumbik Shire Council which has received $28.9 million since 2015 to deliver 19 projects through the Growing Suburbs Fund.
