Officers from Albany Detectives are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding a fire at a bakery in Spencer Park (Albany) on Saturday, 12 October 2024.
About 2.10pm, Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) were called to the bakery located on Angove Road. The fire caused an estimated $200,000 damage, with the building being extensively damaged. A staff member was taken to hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.
Specialist officers from the Arson Squad attended and conducted a fire scene examination. The cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious.
