New upgrades for Banchory Green Reserve gives Hillside residents more opportunities to get outdoors, stay active and spend time with loved ones.
Cr Lara Carli, Mayor of City of Melton, and State Member for Sydenham Natalie Hutchins MP, representing the Minister for Suburban Development, opened major upgrades at Banchory Green Reserve on Banchory Grove in Hillside this Tuesday.
Melton City Council has completed the $704,000 upgrade following a community co-design last year.
The upgrades deliver a much-improved community space with passive recreation opportunities for all age groups and improved amenity. The upgraded park features new landscaping, new playground equipment, seating and shade structures. The tennis court and basketball court have also been resurfaced.
This project was made possible thanks to a $352,000 Growing Suburbs Fund grant from the Victorian Government and the support of State Member for Sydenham, Natalie Hutchins.
