Whether the warmer weather has got you feeling like a spring clean is in order, or you’re just itching like hay fever to bag yourself a pre-loved bargain – Council is delighted to announce the long-awaited return of the Garage Sail Trail to the Snowy Monaro in November 2023.
Held over two weekends on 11–12 and 18–19 November 2023, households across the region will be hosting garage sales chock-a-block with bargains, bric-a-brac, and pre-loved treasures just waiting to be discovered.
“The Garage Sale Trail is always a lot of fun, and helps to build community connections across our region,” said Mayor Chris Hanna, Snowy Monaro Regional Council.
“This great initiative – free for everyone thanks to the Canberra Region Joint Organisation and Council – contributes to developing a local circular economy.”
“By joining the fun this November, we can all play a part in keeping quality pre-loved goods out of landfill, which helps the environment,” said Mayor Hanna.
Council is joining the fun this year and hosting a group sale – think flea market or trash-and-treasure – at Jindabyne Memorial Hall on Saturday 11 November from 9am to 2pm.
Locals snapped up the stall spaces in a day, showing just how keen the Snowy Monaro is to get involved. There will be 30 stalls brimming with bargains on the day for you to browse and pick up a precious pre-loved piece.
Head down to Jindabyne Memorial Hall on the day to enjoy a day in the sun and find yourself something fantastic for a fiver. Thanks to a partnership with PayPal, all stallholders will be able to offer cash-free payment options on the day, so you don’t even have to hit the ATM before dropping by.
If you would like to go on the wait list for the group sale if a stallholder pulls out, email us at the address below.
For sellers in other parts of the region, or those with more than a stall’s worth of items to sell, you can register to host your own sale as part of the trail online. You can also band together with your neighbours or friends to host a group sale.
Head to today to sign-up to host your stop on the trail, or browse the map and plan your bargain-hunting odyssey this November.
