Quotes attributable to Mayor, Cr Michael Whelan

“Through innovative practices, we’ve reused 3,181 tonnes of recycled materials to revamp a road, all within its existing location. This not only prevented the need for 2,558 tonnes of new materials but also saved 2,353 tonnes of construction and demolition materials from being discarded. Moreover, we’ve drastically reduced truck movements, covering over 29,400 fewer kilometers and saving 16,400 liters of diesel.” said Mayor, Cr Michael Whelan.

“I’d like to congratulate the Infrastructure Delivery team and to David Vaea for being present to receive the award. This award demonstrates our commitment to innovation and sustainability as well as providing value to our ratepayers.”
