Warragul police are investigating after tools and fuel were stolen in Baw Baw Village last month.
Police have been told two men accessed a car park on Currawong Road sometime between the evening of 23 March and 7am on 24 March.
While there, the men stole work equipment belonging to a contractor, including two Stihl chainsaws.
They are also believed to have siphoned fuel from a tractor parked at the site.
Police have released images and CCTV footage of two men who they believe can assist with their enquiries.
The first is perceived as Pacific Islander in appearance with a solid build, and was wearing a black beanie, orange hi-visibility vest, black shorts and brown boots.
He was also wearing gloves at the time.
The second man is perceived as Caucasian in appearance with a solid build.
He was wearing a black jacket, black pants, black shoes and black gloves.
It is understood the offenders were travelling in an older-model red or burgundy Nissan Patrol.
