The Baylor College of Medicine Board of Trustees recently named J. Cary Gray and Dr. James Lomax to the board. Lomax will serve as an ex officio member, representing the College’s Alumni Association.
Gray is chairman of the Gray Reed law firm. As managing partner of Gray Reed from 2006 through 2022 and now as the firm’s chairman, he concentrates on growing a modern and democratic partnership. He describes Gray Reed’s values as those of “an old-time law firm.”
He served as a regent and chair of the Nominating, Governance and Regent Leadership Committee of the Baylor University Board of Regents from 2012 – 2021. His first meeting as a Baylor College of Medicine trustee will be in September.
Dr. Lomax is a professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Baylor College of Medicine. He is graduate of Rice University and completed his residency training at Baylor.
