It’s time to reconnect as a community with great food, live music, and fun in Bayside’s beautiful open spaces. We’ve created a fabulous new outdoor festival showcasing the best of Bayside – grab your family and friends and join us for Autumn Fest.

Saturday 26 March

Brighton Town Hall Gardens 6:30pm

Outdoor Cinema: Wonder

Come to Bayside Youth Services’ wonderful free outdoor screening of Wonder on Saturday 26 March. Meet at Brighton Town Hall from 6.30pm for local live music, caricatures and Miss Molly’s cakes for a sunset screening of the film.

See you at this FReeZA, teen friendly night out, which will be fully supervised and drug, smoke and alcohol free.

Sandringham Village from 10am

ChalkFest 22

Bayside City Council proudly supports Sandy Street Art Project who are bringing talented artists – local, interstate and international to transform the footpaths of Sandringham Village to a spectacular pavement gallery over two days.

From 10am on Saturday 26th March and Sunday 27th March 2022, artists will be applying their magic with a vivid array of pastel chalks in a myriad of hues.

Black Rock Village

Enter this fabulous dream world at Black Rock Village. From April 8 – 15, Fantastical light boxes by Black Rock Primary Students working with Barking Spider Theatre Company will bring to life the windows of over 25 businesses in Black Rock Village. Join us for opening night on April 8, where you might also encounter roving mysterious musicians, the enigmatic Dream Bear, and some characters from another time.

The exhibition runs until 14 April.

Pets Day Out

Let’s celebrate our fabulous furry friends. Pets Day Out will feature a pet parade, food stalls, exhibitors, music and activities for owners and pets. This will be the purrfect day to remember for us humans and our four-legged family members.

This action-packed fun-filled day will delight the little ones in your life. Free interactive games, activities, craft workshops and rumour has it, a few beautiful fairies will make an appearance.

Fun & Fitness

This is a day for moving the bod and trying something new to stay active. We have sporting and exercise activities and fun-filled competitions for all ages. It will also be a day to meet your local sports clubs’ representatives and see what they have to offer.

Sunday 8 May

Lyle Anderson Reserve, Highett 9am- noon

Grab a picnic blanket or some camping chairs, rug up and get along to Lyle Anderson Reserve where breakfast is on us. Roving entertainers and plenty of kids’ activities will help create a festival vibe at this great community cook-up.

Saturday 21 May

Lakeside Green, Elsternwick Park

3 x 45 minute activities: 10.30am, 12pm, 2:30pm

Polyglot Theatre’s Bees

Bees is a joyful interactive experience for families. Explore a buzzing, humming hive of activity, as three human-sized Bees busy themselves in the creation of a community alongside children who transform into bees as they play.
