Mr Cummins has worked in local government for 43 years.
Bayside Mayor, Cr Hanna El Mouallem said that Mr Cummins had made an outstanding contribution to Bayside and delivered sector leading services to the Bayside community.
“It has been a privilege to work alongside Mick for nearly four and a half years. I have seen firsthand how effective his leadership has been for Bayside and we have shared many common goals and a commitment to making Bayside better,” Cr Mouallem said.
Council will be considering the transition process in the next few weeks as is usual in CEO employment matters.
