Bayside Council has announced the winners of the 2024 Bayside Photography Competition.
Six Bayside residents will be awarded with certificates and share in a total prize pool of $3,800 for capturing outstanding imagery of Bayside, across seven individual categories.
Bayside Council’s photography competition aims to encourage photographic artists to create works that celebrate what is special about the area, including natural and built environments, flora and fauna and people at work and play.
The seven categories of the competition include: Open, Environmental, Waterways, Transport, Active, Neighbourhood, and Junior.
Finalists will be exhibited online, and winning photographs will be printed and displayed in select locations across Bayside.
Mayor Edward McDougall said
“Each of these remarkable photographs captures an element that uniquely portrays the beauty, diversity and character of Bayside,” Mayor Edward McDougall said.
“They include stunning vistas of our natural environment, people engaged in day-to-day life and depictions of some of our iconic infrastructure.”
