Bayside Council congratulated local resident Tahlia Dunne who recently represented Australia in the 2023 Baton Twirling World Championships in Liverpool, England.
Bayside Mayor Dr Christina Curry, presented an award to Ms Tahlia Dunne at the Council Meeting on Wednesday 23 August 2023.
“Your performance showcased not only your individual talent but also the spirit of Australian sportspersonship,” Mayor Dr Christina Curry said.
“Your achievements are an inspiration to all aspiring athletes and a testament to your hard work and determination. On behalf of our Bayside community, I would like to congratulate you and wish you every success in the future.”
Tahlia Dunne represented Australia at the 2023 World Baton Twirling Federation Nations Cup & World Championships in Liverpool, England.
Tahlia placed 1st in the Individual Senior Artistic Pairs, earning herself a Gold Medal. She also placed 6th in the Finals for the Senior A Pairs, and 16th in the Finals for the Individual Senior B Two Baton.
