“Earlier this year Council put a call out to the market, looking for the best operators to manage this exciting milestone project for the community,” Mayor Hearn said.

Council conducted an extensive process to select an expert operator to ensure that the aquatic centre operations:

Council will retain control over business functions such as asset management, utilities, maintenance, fees and charges and will be involved in the recruitment of the Centre Manager. Belgravia Leisure will manage day-to-day operations and deliver programs and services to the community.

Council’s representative for the Health and Wellbeing Committee and Seawinds Councillor Antonella Celi said that it is important that the operations of the facility include programs and services tailored to help our community achieve optimal health and wellbeing outcomes as well as enjoying opportunities for social and recreational activities.

“The community is really excited about our pool finally being built and with Belgravia Leisure now appointed as the facility manager we look forward to opening day,” Councillor Celi said.
