A body of a woman has been found in Sydney’s west following a multi-agency operation.
NSW Police Force have been assisting Fire and Rescue NSW from Saturday (1 June 2024) with a search operation following reports of an explosion at a unit block in Whalan.
One of the residents – a woman in her 30s – had been unaccounted for following the explosion.
Following an extensive search operation over the weekend, the body of a woman was found about 3.20am on Monday (3 June 2024) at the scene.
The woman is yet to be formally identified.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
