The body of a man missing in the Tweed region has been located.
The 46-year-old man was last seen in Casuarina on Friday evening (12 January 2023).
When he could not be located or contacted, he was reported missing to officers attached to Tweed/Byron Police District, who conducted extensive inquiries to locate him.
Following an extensive search, a body – believed to be that of the missing man – was located in bushland near Cabarita about 7pm yesterday (Sunday 14 January 2024).
The circumstances surrounding his death are not being treated as suspicious.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
