Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Boodarie (near Port Hedland) on Friday 2 September 2022.
About 6.50pm, a white Isuzu D-Max was driving south on Great Northern Highway and collided with a green Western Star road train that was travelling north, approximately 15 kilometres south of Port Hedland.
The 37-year-old female driver of the Isuzu D-Max died from her injuries at the scene.
Two young children were also in the vehicle and received injuries.
