The fire at Bowen Road Primary School in Moonah yesterday has been investigated by Tasmania Fire Service and Tasmania Police who have determined it was deliberately lit.
As a result of the investigation a 14 year old youth from Moonah will be proceeded against under the Youth Justice Act.
Several classrooms were destroyed by the fire and will need to be demolished.
