Break and enter chargesin Brisbane

Police have charged two men aged 42 and 46-years-old in relation to a string of alleged offences in south east Brisbane.

Police will allege about 3.30am on Sunday, March 19, the two men broke into a shopping centre on Creek Road, Carindale through an entrance door.

Whilst inside, the men allegedly entered two kiosk style vendors and stole a cash register, cash, electrical items and food.

Police further allege at 4.15am, Sunday, the men attended a Belmont Road tavern and unsuccessfully attempted to break in through a staff door, damaging the door and a gate lock.

The men then allegedly broke into a storage container at the same address but did not steal anything.

At 5.30am the men are alleged to have forced entry to a business on Old Cleveland Road, Capalaba stealing a cash register, electronics and drinks.

On Monday at 12.30am the men allegedly attempted to break into a shopping centre on Cambridge Drive, Alexandra Hills before successfully forcing entry into a fruit shop, stealing fruit and a cash register containing cash.

Investigations led police to execute a search warrant yesterday at an address at Waratah Avenue, Victoria Point where the 42-year-old and 46-year-old men were located.

The 42-year-old Wellington Point man was subsequently charged with seven break and enter offences and two attempted break and enter offences. He is due to reappear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court on April 19.

The 46-year-old Birkdale man was charged with seven break and enter offences, two attempted break and enter offences, two possession of drug utensil charges and one count of possess dangerous drugs. He is due to reappear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court on April 12.
