Breakers arrested at Dover Gardens, South Australia

Police have arrested three youths following a break-in at Dover Gardens overnight.

About 2.30am on Monday 30 September the occupants of a Dunedin Street home awoke to find intruders had broken in and stolen a number of items including cash, jewellery and phones. Police were alerted after the suspects had opened the roller door and were seen rifling through their car.

Police patrols quickly set up cordons around the area and brought in Police Dog Havoc to assist with the search. PD Havoc picked up a scent and patrols soon had a foot chase when three people started running from the area. One of the youths had climbed along roof tops of houses in an attempt to get away but all three were quickly arrested.

Property stolen from the break-in was recovered nearby.

A 14-year-old girl from Northfield, an 11-year-old boy from Glenelg North and a 13-year-old boy from Ingle Farm were all charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, theft, illegal interference and breach of bail. They have been refused police bail and are expected to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court today.
