A 51 year old man from the Southern Midlands has died following a crash on the Brooker Highway, Glenorchy about 10.30am today.
The man, who was the sole occupant of the car, was driving a red Holden Commodore when it collided with the back of a white Toyota Rav4.
The crash occurred in the north bound lanes of the highway, at the intersection with Elwick Road.
Ambulance Tasmania provided medical treatment to the man, who died at the scene.
The sole occupant of the Toyota, a 53 year old man from Kingston, was not seriously injured.
The circumstances surrounding the cause of the crash are being investigated.
