Business & Coronavirus Update – 24 March 2020

Please find below the latest update on Business Support and COVID-19 from Noosa Council.

  • Remember to check Councils dedicated regularly for updated information about Government and Council support for local business. There are specific government initiatives that support cashflow and small businesses that employ people, as well as a range of other programs. Includes the latest Federal Government stimulus package.
  • With regards to Council rent and permit relief measures, Council is communicating directly to existing permit holders for footpath dining and trading; commercial use permit holders and lessees in Council owned premises. This is also mentioned on the Council website under
  • The Economic Development team will continue to roll a suite of Business Continuity tools and resources. This evening is a free online workshop hosted by the Peregian Digital Hub specifically for retailers wishing to grow their business or rapidly convert their physical store to an online model. Speakers include Business continuity practitioner, Kirsten Norman from Biz Whiz Business Solutions, who will help Unboxers understand the critical steps they should be taking to stay afloat in difficult times. Kirsten will cover cash preservation, available govt support and other tactics to extend cash runways to give businesses the best chance of seeing out the crisis. Join the for the online meetup.
