In actual terms, the volume of finished goods stocks for total manufacturing fell 1.7 percent ($150 million) in the June 2024 quarter compared with the June 2023 quarter.
In actual terms, total manufacturing purchases fell $475 million (1.9 percent), and salaries and wages rose $90 million (1.8 percent) compared with the June 2023 quarter.

Wholesale trade
When adjusted for seasonal effects, the total value of wholesale trade sales fell 1.1 percent ($425 million) in the June 2024 quarter, following a 0.5 percent ($195 million) rise in the March 2024 quarter.
