Businesses invited to participate in next Aboriginal Business Roundtable

NSW Gov

Registrations are now open for businesses to attend a day of networking, masterclasses and strategy workshops at the NSW Government’s Aboriginal Business Roundtable on 30 October in Parramatta.

The free event – the seventh bi-annual Aboriginal Business Roundtable – is organised by Aboriginal Affairs NSW and will explore how Aboriginal business owners can improve their strategies and grow their businesses.

There will also be opportunities to collaborate and gain valuable insights from other Aboriginal business operators as well as discuss procurement with representatives from the public and private sectors.

Participants will also receive the latest updates on the NSW Government’s Roadmap for Aboriginal Business Growth, including new projects and business opportunities.

NSW is unique in having a specific Closing the Gap priority reform – Reform 5 – that focuses on Aboriginal economic prosperity, jobs and nurturing business.

This commitment is underpinned by the NSW Government directly engaging with Aboriginal communities and businesses and the Business Roundtable is a key part of this.

The NSW Government is committed to supporting events like the roundtables that empower Aboriginal businesses because they have a proven multiplier benefit for Aboriginal communities.

Research from Supply Nation shows that for every $1 of revenue, certified Indigenous businesses create $4.41 of economic and social value.

The Aboriginal Business Roundtable is part of the NSW Government’s broad suite of business support and guidance.

The Roundtable, which takes place from 9:30am to 3.30pm, is also accessible online.

Registrations are open until 5pm 23 October 2024. For more information visit
