Byron Bay beach-side tiny homes deliver a big nature experience

Reflections Holiday Parks

The six new tiny homes at Reflections Byron Bay may be minimalist in size, but they bring a huge nature experience, located right next to Clarkes Beach.

The tiny home village will open this month, in time for couples, singles and small families to enjoy the nature-rich park, which is framed by a littoral rainforest, over the summer holidays.

Minister for Lands and Water Kevin Anderson said six new eco tiny homes have been fitted out, ready for visitors to switch off and immerse themselves in nature.

“In 2022 the NSW Government provided Reflections with a $28 million loan to improve facilities at its Crown land holiday parks and help boost regional tourism, so it’s great to see infrastructure upgrades in Byron Bay,” Mr Anderson said.

Reflections Holiday Parks’ CEO, Nick Baker, said more NSW and interstate visitors can now enjoy the stunning scenery of Byron Bay such as the Cape Byron Walking Track, The Pass, and visit local markets, providing essential support to local small businesses.

“Reflections Byron Bay welcomes more than 54,041 visitors each year, contributing $3.8 million to the region’s economy. This upgrade will attract about 10,512 more visitors, injecting a further $375,000 into the local economy each year,” Mr Baker said.

“Reflections’ purpose is to maximise the economic and social benefit for the local community, so we don’t build restaurants or resorts within our parks. Instead, we encourage our guests to support local cafes, restaurants, shops and tour operators, and get to know the wonderful people and natural treasures that make Byron Bay so special.”

Reflections’ $1.01 million investment will deliver 6 new tiny homes which each accommodate two people. They are fitted out with all the modern conveniences, as well as a spacious deck overlooking the beach.

Despite their petite footprint, the tiny homes have large windows with an incredible outlook and expansive verandas, providing a close to nature experience. Reflections refers to its parks as “nature’s holiday parks”, recognising their stunning outlooks and unspoilt natural beauty.
