Federal

Our geotechnical engineer has started the detailed design to stabilise the landslip and reinstate the road. A preliminary design is anticipated to be finished by the end of October.

Huonbrook/Upper Wilsons Creek

Staff are meeting regularly with Huonbrook residents as well as community representatives from Upper Wilsons Creek, to keep them up to date with the plans and the schedule for the long-term repair and rebuild of some of the roads.

As we have said, the process is not easy, it is time-consuming and it will be expensive, but we have started, the contractors are engaged and all going well work should start in mid to late August.

We have a scope to build an access track for the people on the other side of the wash-out.

We have permits from NSW Fisheries to do this work and as soon as some of the final boxes are ticked, we will make a start on this.

Main Arm

In the coming months Council crews will start fixing the surface of Upper Main Arm Rd on the areas heavily affected by floods.

They will start east of Dry Creek Road and will continue east repairing pavement areas affected by floods.

There will be short delays for drivers.
