Call for information – Domestic violence – Alice Springs

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to a domestic violence incident that occurred in Alice Springs earlier today.

Around 8:15am, police received reports of a female holding onto the bonnet of a white Holden Commodore that was driving dangerously through Larapinta.

The 42-year-old male driver, who is believed to be known to the victim, had allegedly driven at the 40-year-old victim after a verbal argument on Lyndavale Drive, resulting in her falling on to the bonnet.

The offender allegedly continued to drive through several streets of Larapinta with the victim on the bonnet, before she was flung from the vehicle on Zeal Street. The offender allegedly drove at her, forcing her to move out of the way to avoid being struck, before fleeing the scene in the vehicle.

The victim did not require medical treatment.

The offender remains outstanding, and investigations are ongoing.
