Liverpool City Council is calling on the city’s HSC Visual Arts students to be part of NEXT 2024 – an exhibition showcasing local students’ artistic talent.
Director Community and Lifestyle Tina Bono said: “This is a great opportunity for young people from the Liverpool area to showcase their artistic talents and efforts.
“It also gives Liverpool’s residents and ratepayers the chance to see what a stunning exhibition of local artworks of local students at the world class Yellamundie (Liverpool City Library),” she said.
The NEXT 2024 Exhibition is curated by Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre, the leading arts facility for South West Sydney and is staged in Yellamundie, currently a finalist in the world’s best libraries award, set to be announced in early October.
“The vision is to contribute to an inclusive and creative community through the presentation and production of compelling, quality, and diverse exhibition programs,” Ms Bono said.
“We are particularly committed to showcasing the talents of young people in the Liverpool area and supporting them in their personal and professional development.”
The city’s art teachers are especially asked to make sure their students find out about the exhibition, Ms Bono said.
