Power and Water Corporation (PWC) has advised NT Health that while the water supply in Ngukurr lost pressure during Cyclone Tiffany there is no evidence of contamination.
Chlorine residuals have been reinstated and the water is safe to drink.
NT Health has now lifted the Precautionary Advice for Drinking Water (Boil Water Alert).
The boil water alert was issued on 11 January 2022 as a precautionary response to the potential damage to the water supply system as Cyclone Tiffany moved across the region.
Anyone who has concerns can contact the NT Health’s Environmental Health hotline during business hours on toll free 1800 095 646.
