This is the only event being held for business and the community in the city to which all 2019 federal candidates for the seat of Adelaide have been invited.
Hosted by Leigh McClusky, this event will feature a facilitated “Q&A” forum and candidates will also have an opportunity to speak to their platforms and vision for the city and its surrounds.
Confirmed candidates attending are:
- Steve Georganas, Australian Labor Party
- Chris James, Australian Democrats
- Deanna Kangas, Animal Justice Party
- Shaun Osborn, Liberal Party
- Barbara Pocock, Greens
- Antonio Rea, United Australia Party.
Lord Mayor Sandy Verschoor says she hopes tomorrow’s event will result in a lively discussion.
“We know the recently recast Federal seat of Adelaide will have a new elected member with Kate Ellis choosing not to recontest the upcoming election,” said the Lord Mayor.
“Whether you’re a resident, worker, business owner, visitor or student in the City of Adelaide, this is your chance to learn about your local candidates and ask them about the issues which mean the most to you.
“Together with the rest of the audience, I look forward to learning more about the candidates’ views on key issues such as our city’s residential and economic growth, infrastructure plans, and improvements to our transport networks.”
