A man will face court next month charged with drugs and firearms offences on the state’s Far North Coast.
About 9am yesterday (Wednesday 11 December 2019), officers attached to the Tweed/Byron Police Target Action Group executed a search warrant at a home on Charbray Place, Tyalgum and spoke with a 35-year-old man.
During the search, police allegedly located and seized several cannabis plants, cannabis leaf, three gel blasters, a handgun and handmade nunchucks.
The 35-year-old man was arrested and taken to Tweed Heads Police Station.
He was charged with several drugs and firearms offences including possess firearm, possess prohibited weapon, possess ammunition and cultivate prohibited plant.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Tweed Heads Local Court on Monday 6 January 2020.
