A driver has been reported for traffic offences after crashing in North Adelaide this evening.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of King William Road and Sir Edwin Smith Avenue, North Adelaide at 5.30pm on Sunday 2 June by reports of a single vehicle crash.
A car had left the road, mounted the kerb and crashed into a light pole. The vehicle was smoking and the airbags had deployed.
Luckily, there were no injuries.
It will be alleged the driver had left the scene of the crash but was located by police a short time later as he was returning.
The BMW sedan was displaying different number plates on the front and back.
The driver allegedly appeared to be under the influence and was taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution as well as for mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
The 37-year-old Two Wells man was reported for driving while under the influence, driving without due care, leaving the scene of a crash and driving unlicensed, unregistered and with unassigned plates.
He will be summonsed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
The car was towed from the scene.
