Police are investigating three recent incidents were thieves targeted a sports and a fashion store and a car was torched.
Just before 11.30pm, Tuesday 12 October, three suspects attempted to break into the Rebel Sports at the Gepps Cross ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾maker Centre on Main North Road. The trio used a hammer to smash the front glass doors however, they failed to gain entry to the premises. They left in a silver hatchback, believed to be a 2007 TK Holden Barina but not before being captured on CCTV.
Then just before midnight the same night, a patrol interrupted three suspects breaking into a fashion store on The Parade at Norwood. The suspects gained entry to the store by smashing the glass front door and stole a number of designer handbags. The trio left in a small hatchback and were pursued for a short distance until patrols lost sight of the car as it travelled north along Forest Avenue, Rostrevor. A review of CCTV showed the suspects wearing similar clothing to those who attempted to break into Rebel Sport.
Just after 6pm, Wednesday 13 October, patrols and fire crews were called to Martins Road, Paralowie, after a small silver 2007 Holden Barina was found torched in the driveway of a golf course. It is believed this was the same car used in the two previous incidents at Gepps Cross and Norwood.
