CATASTROPHIC FIRE DANGER – now forecast for Greater Sydney, Greater Hunter and Illawarra/Shoalhaven areas on Tuesday 12 November 2019, due to worsening weather conditions. Large areas will see Severe and Extreme fire danger.
Council urges residents to exercise precaution today as we are being warned of catastrophic fire danger.
The following recreational spaces are closed until further notice, due to the very dangerous fire conditions:
Nurragingy Reserve, Knox Road, Doonside
Prospect Reservoir, Prospect
Western Sydney Parklands (all areas).
