Police have released CCTV footage of two people they believe may assist with their inquiries following an alleged home invasion at Muswellbrook last month.
About 1.15am on Saturday 4 March 2023, emergency services were called to a home on Forbes Street, Muswellbrook, following reports of an aggravated robbery.
Police have been told five men –armed with weapons including machetes, knives, hammers and a pole – forced their way into the house and demanded money, before assaulting four occupants inside.
A 59-year-old man, a 47-year-old woman, a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics. They were all taken to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.
Two dogs at the home were also struck with machetes and have been treated by a vet.
Officers from Hunter Valley Police District established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the incident.
Investigators have now released CCTV footage from a service station in Wellington, of a man and woman they believe can assist with their inquiries.
The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his late teens to mid-20s, with shaved hair, long rat tail, and a small amount of facial hair to his chin.
He is depicted in the vision wearing a black Under Armour shirt, dark Nike track pants and cap, and grey joggers.
The woman is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 25-35, and with dark hair.
She is depicted in the vision wearing a white shirt with a custom ‘In loving memory of’ design, grey shorts, thongs and black painted nails.
