Kurunjang locals have a new space to get outdoors, stay active and spend time with loved ones with Cr Lara Carli and Member for Melton Steve McGhie MP unveiling new major upgrades at Centenary Reserve today.
Melton City Council just completed $665,000 in upgrade works across the parks following an extensive community co-design last year.
In Kurunjang, locals told us that they wanted a BBQ and picnic space to spend time with friends – and basketball half-court and an enhanced play space including a slide, more swings and nature play.
The upgraded park also features new plants and trees, new playground equipment, seating, shade structure, an improved pedestrian path network and improved turf kick-about spaces.
The Victorian Government contributed $300,000 to help breathe new life into Centenary Park.
