The collapse of an underground cross passage on the West Gate tunnel construction project this morning has endangered workers and puts builder, CPB Contractors’ ability in doubt.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported when the cross passage, which connects the two main tunnels, gave way causing soil to rapidly flood into the main tunnel at an unstoppable rate.
