Campaspe Shire Council is undertaking a ‘business as usual’ approach wherever practicable, but has made changes to services in line with the Public Health Officer, Federal and State Government directions to limit the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
Mayor, Cr Adrian Weston said in line with recent directions the pool and gym, sport centres and non-essential activity are now closed.
“On Monday we closed the Echuca War Memorial Aquatic Centre, Echuca, Tongala and Kyabram Stadiums, Port of Echuca Discovery Centre and Echuca Paddlesteamers,” Cr Weston said.
“Our customer service centres remain open for the benefit of our community and we ask for your support in practicing social distancing, to keep 1.5 metres while being served, or waiting to be served.”
Payments and enquiries are encouraged online via our website or by phone, including payment of rates, animal registration, and more.
“We recognise the rapidly changing situation and closure of services will be continually reviewed in line with government guidelines,” the Mayor added.
“We understand this is a difficult time and we will keep our facilities and services open for as long as we can while ensuring the safety of our staff.”
The measures taken to date are designed to protect our community and our staff and limit the spread of COVID-19.
The community will be kept up to date with changes to our services or facilities through Council’s website and through social media.
