The terms of two Sustainability Victoria board members expired on 30 June 2019.
Kane Thornton, a board member since May 2015 and Deputy Chair since July 2017, has completed his time with Sustainability Victoria.
Kane was a valued member of the board bringing considerable experience in government and non-government organisations in the climate change and renewable energy sector. The board thanks him for his contribution. Kane is succeeded as Deputy Chair by Sarah Clarke, who was appointed to the board in July 2017.
Megan Flynn, who joined the board in July 2015 has been appointed by the Minister for Environment Energy and Climate Change for a second term ending in June 2023.
Neil Pharaoh joined the board on 1 July 2019. Neil’s knowledge and experience includes government relations; community engagement; building sustainable and profitable operating models; and stakeholder and partnership engagement. He established his own consultancy, Pharaoh and Associates in 2017, and is an Associate Director for Spark Strategy, where he leads the government engagement practice. He is currently on the boards of the Prahran Community Learning Centre and The Channel, a philanthropic organisation supporting the LGBTIQ+ community.
