Changes to Wilandra Drive Park

Wyndham City is inviting feedback on changes to Wilandra Drive Park, Tarneit, which is earmarked for an upgrade as part of the State Government’s Tarneit Revitalisation Program.

The park, located a short walk from Tarneit Station and Tarneit Central Shopping Centre, is also near to a school precinct.

Wyndham City is calling on residents to share their thoughts on how the park can be improved and better meet the needs of the local community.

The upgrade will be funded with $150,000 from the State Government via the Tarneit Revitalisation program and $165,000 from Wyndham City.

The Tarneit Revitalisation program has been running since 2021. The Wilandra Drive Park upgrade is one of a number of parks upgraded in Tarneit as part of the program and is one of seven projects intended to be delivered with the fourth round of funding announced in 2022.

Wyndham Mayor Cr Peter Maynard said: “The Tarneit Revitalisation Program champions projects to create a Tarneit that is cherished by locals for its active public spaces, a vibrant civic heart and expanding business ecosystem.”

“Wilandra Drive Park is a lovely spot to relax and we look forward to improvements that will attract more residents and visitors to enjoy this recreational space.”

A community drop in session to discuss the project will be held at the Tarneit Movie Night screening Arthur Christmas, Baden Powell Reserve, Tarneit on Saturday 3 December, 5pm – 6.30pm. No registration required.
