Caulfield Divisional Response Unit detectives executed warrants in Mount Waverley, Ferntree Gully and Oakleigh South on Monday (28 January).
As part of Operation Suprise, an operation targeting drug trafficking in Melbourne’s south eastern suburbs, detectives seized a traffickable quantity of heroin, a substantial amount of cash, a firearm and ammunition, cannabis, prescription medication and several mobile phones.
A man and woman, both aged 45 from Mount Waverley, were arrested at a Mount Waverley address.
Both people were charged with trafficking a drug of dependence, possess the proceeds of crime and firearms offences.
They have been remanded to appear at the Moorabbin Magistrates Court on 12 February.
