Officers from the Serious Crime Squad have charged a 17-year-old male following an alleged incident on Saturday, 12 January.
During the afternoon the male and seven victims were at an address in Woodroffe. The male became agitated, verbally abused the victims and threatened them before leaving the location and returning with a rock and edged weapon.
He waved the weapon around and threatened to stab and kill the victims.
The victims then attempted to disarm the 17-year-old which caused one of the victims to sustain a deep laceration to their arm and another to receive a minor stab wound to his neck and a bite injury to his leg.
The 17-year-old was eventually disarmed and he fled the scene. He was arrested by police at his residence in Jingili some hours later.
He has been charged with:
• Recklessly Endangering Life x3
• Threats to Kill x1
• Aggravated Assault x6
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Darwin Youth Justice Court today.
