The 2022 Canberra and Region Heritage Festival kicks off this Saturday 9 April, with the opening week promising a full program of diverse events for all ages.
The first week will see a variety of Ngunnawal and First Nations events, a tea and talk event on women’s history along with many other fascinating talks, tours and online events.
Check out the Deadly Discoveries event to learn from our PCS Murumbung Rangers about scientific innovations created or observed by Ngunnawal and First Nations peoples, or head out to the Arboretum or Botanical Gardens to learn about First Nations plant use and our native flora.
If you are looking for something to do this weekend, there is plenty on offer including:
Saturday 9 April

Or download the map and take a self-guided tour of the Woden Cemetery including the resting places of notable Australians like author Bryce Courtney.
