Child exploitation charges at Mission Beach

Detectives from Tully Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with Argos, yesterday charged a 44-year-old Mission Beach man, after a six-month investigation (December 6).

A warrant was executed on a property in Boyett Road, Mission Beach, on June 5, 2022, and detectives seized electronic devices.

It will be alleged after examination of the devices, the man was found to be in possession of child exploitation material.

The 44-year-old Mission Beach man will appear in the Innisfail Magistrates Court later today, charged with one count each of use carriage service to access child abuse material, use carriage service to transmit, make available, publish or promote child abuse material and possess child exploitation material.
